More Still Shots 27.09.

Our beaded board is finished in our bathroom…well, except for the chair rail. Now, to paint or stain, that is the question! That red chandelier only cost me a dollar and a can of spray paint.

Last night’s filming was done under an almost full moon. Tonight is the full moon, but we aren’t filming. Tonight is Year of the Gun practice. We are performing YOG in Birmingham on Saturday after the B’Ham film festival (HEADS UP CAHRLIE!) I’m excited. YOG is one of my favorite shows…and I’m glad we’re able to continue performing it.

This month is a busy performing month. I agreed to do the Dead Workers Party’s Halloween mini-movie that will be shown before Crash Boom Bang’s. It’s called “Booty Call of Ctuhulu.” The script is hilarious (of course). And the best part is Andy agreed to act in it with me. Good thing, or else I wouldn’t have done it. My character seduces his character…and that would only fly if Andy was the seductee. Wednesday night we shot a scene that needed a green screen…

After today Neil and Ben will be finished with the baseboards! As not-really-exciting as that sounds, it’s actually big news for us. Finally, we can get our electricity turned on downstairs…after, of course, Brian (the electrician) hooks up all of our outlets. Which means we can move downstairs by next week if Brian doesn’t have a packed schedule.

We’ve been letting the kitties come downstairs with us whenever we can. They seem to love it. Maple begged to have a photo shoot yesterday, so I snapped a few. My favorite is her on the kitchen floor mid-meow.

This past weekend was super crammed with stuff to do. Sasha’s play (The Writer’s Circle) was Saturday and Sunday night. I love Sasha to death, but to be honest, didn’t really understand the play I agreed to do. But, it is over now and I feel a thousand pounds lighter. I felt like I was living in vertigo this past week. Switching modes from Sasha’s play then sprinting across the mill to make it to the film shootings for CBB’s Halloween show…which lasted until midnight or later most nights. Come October, the filming should be wrapped up and I’ll have that whole month to relax (until performance weekends, of course). Hopefully I’ll be able to spend those ‘relaxed’ nights hanging pictures or decorating the house downstairs. If it happens like that, talk about perfect timing!

These are still shots from the upcoming Crash Boom Bang Halloween Show…which will be a film with some live action.

Do-Wop Gang & Pany Raid

As soon as there is a synopsis set in stone, I’ll share. However, if this is anything like the last film Matt and Ben did (Year of the Gun) it’ll be absolutely fantastic. I have no doubt in my mind.

randoms around the mill…in search for lightbulbs 11.09.

*I thought the perspective of the ninth picture (with the grass blades) looks like it was taken on a beach! But, it’s just a spill of some sort (paint?) that has hardened.

Happy Birthday Hubby!

I cannot wait until tomorrow. After artist market, we are heading up to Nashville for the night. Why? Cause the Dingers are back! Nicole and Justin have been living in Kuwait for the past too-long-of-a-time. They are back in the States and visiting family and friends. I have been giddy ever since I spoke to her on the phone last week and we talked about Saturday’s plans. Hopefully lots of the Nashville folks will be hanging around because I know Andy has some friends he hasn’t seen in a while. Either way, I’ll see Nicole’s pretty face and I can’t wait. Pictures will be taken in surplus.

Next Friday, the 14th, The Lightbulbs (me, Andy, Christian James, Chance, and Josh) and the Royal Bangs are playing a show at The Flying Monkey.

ALSO Crash Boom Bang will be having a Call for Extras for the Halloween film. We encourage you and all your friends to come out, see a show, then participate in our film. There are no speaking lines. We really just need a good crowd. So tell everyone you know!

I’m actually pretty nervous. I’ve never done this band thing…high school band doesn’t count. Josh tells me he could never do Crash Boom Bang, but he has no problem singing in front of anyone. Me, I’m opposite. I’m excited cause we’ve been practicing and sounding great…however, I still feel a butterfly wing flapping against the inside of my stomach every now and then.

It’s hard to get a lot of photos of them because it’s hard not to dance!
