Planted Seeds
I know it might be a bit early, but I don’t care! I need plants! These were not our heirloom seeds…these were mainly flower seeds and such that we’ve had since last season.

Last Night we went to Crossroads to see The Counterclock Wise and The Pine Hill Haints. (As always) it was such a fun show! Dancing, friends, great music…what more do you need? And finally, The Counterclock Wise’s LP Wind It Up to Shut ‘Em Down was ‘released.’ We’ve had a copy of it on CD, but it’s always great to get the anticipated vinyl LP. Plus Jamie and Katie (Pine Hill Haints and Black Owl CO.) always do a great job on artwork.
Of course we got extras to sell in our store, if anyone is interested. We also stocked up on a lot of merch from the Haints.

Additional Photos:

This photo was taken in November of last year on a rainy afternoon. I can’t wait for Broccoli Head (the tree) to fill out again!
I love the afternoon light our living room gets! Pardon the bits of mess in the photo. I know the photo of our house looks a bit blown out, but I like it! These were taken with our old camera (on “beach” setting) since it’s easier to take with us where ever we go.
Photo of the Tavern after the Thomas Function show last Friday. God knows I love those guys, but good grief, what a not-so-great show. All drinks and no play makes Thomas not Function. hah!
Chemtrails…not to be confused with Contrails (because come on, when have you seen planes leave trails like that?!) Google it and learn for yourself. This photo was taken on December 31st. I’ve noticed Huntsville gets sprayed on either/both the last day and first day of each month. Maybe next time you’ll notice. Now to find out the reasons behind this shit. You can actually find out a lot of information on stuff like this at The Big Agenda…scroll down a bit and you’ll see the HAARP and Chemtrails video section.

Wahoo! Last night I placed an order for heirloom seeds for our 2009 jardin. I’m sure we’ll add things here and there when the time comes to visit nurseries around town. I’m just excited to know that the seeds we harvest will be able to be planted next season with fruits and veggies that are the same as the parent. I’ve also been gathering flower seeds that attract bees and hummingbirds. Thankfully, we already have several places established with Clematis, and bees LOVE it! Pollinate, don’t vaccinate!

Star Market’s free calendars have information about gardening productivity and the moon phases and such according to each day. That’s really helpful! I’ve already gone through and made notes about what we can do in our garden/yard on our days off. We also bought a soaker hose since they were on sale. I plan on salvaging more from thrift stores and such and converting them to soaker hoses so our entire yard can eventually be watered that way. I’d also like to try rain collection even though we don’t have gutters. I figure if I put it on a corner, it’s bound to get plenty of run-off to make it worthwhile.
OK Spring, I’m ready!

Since have been so busy between taking, processing, and uploading photos I’ll be honest, I have fallen behind. But! I planned on that happening while on the Screaming Jenny set, so I went around taking photos that could work for the project. I edited their dates on flickr to stay in chronological order, so from the surface, all is as should be.

Day Eight: Blue Wheel
Day Nine: Saturated
Day Ten: Train Depot

It’s bittersweet to say that we are finished filming for the Counterclock Wise “Screaming Jenny” music video with the Dead Workers Party. We spent the day running (and falling) around the inside of the Depot downtown to avoid the rain outside. Luckily, the skies cleared long enough to get a few shots running and hopping on the trains. Now that all the footage is shot, a few of the Dead Workers are going to do their SFX magic and hopefully soon we can see it all come together!

Andy took photos during the scenes with all of the extras. I was upstairs getting into hair and makeup. So, I have no idea what actually happened during these takes.

Matt and I had to do the run-into-each-other-and-fall take at least 10 times.

The band posts a flier for their show (the awesome one Andy made), but gets caught by the Constable and the chase begins.

After running away from the Bobby, the band hops on a train. They had to lip sync to the song several times. I think everyone that was on set now has it memorized.

At some point, Matt(‘s character) day-dreams about running away with Jenny, so they shot that. I think it’s a parallel universe in which Jenny doesn’t end up dying. Remember, she catches on fire! Not sure how it will all come together…but it will be neat to see!
This was actually my first time inside the Depot. The entire second (and soon to be renovated third) floor is a museum of the history of Huntsville. It’s very interesting. One whole room is nothing but a huge model display of Old Huntsville. I’ve got a special place in my heart for model villages.

You can view the entire Screaming Jenny photo set here. You can also see some stills that came directly from the RED One camera…talk about quality!

I’ve spent the past two days uploading the 140+ photos from this engagement session. I went to high school with Ashley and Mason, and it was great to hear they (finally) are engaged! They are both such beautiful people that it was a breeze shooting them with the camera.

Andy made this awesome poster to be used in the music video for The Counterclock Wise and Dead Workers Party “Screaming Jenny” shoot. This Saturday we are shooting the ‘town scene’ at the depot downtown. From what I’ve been told, the band will be posting these fliers around town before jumping on a train to escape the constable. Somewhere, sometime, my character encounters Matt and we ‘exchange glances’ (I don’t know if the details of all of this has been worked out…I have no idea). Whatever is supposed to happen will be fun!

Later that night The Counterclock Wise is playing a show at the Monkey with Christian James and the Coyotes and The Sugar Gliders. It’ll be a fun show, for sure! Hopefully the Counterclock Wise will have their new album (finally) available for sale. They were actually supposed to be released on Halloween of ’08, but the record skipped in a few places, and had to be re-pressed. But Matt showed me the album and artwork and such, and I can’t wait to have a copy!
