Vertical House Records First Tee Design 06.06.

Our dear friend Travis T. designed and illustrated this awesomeness and we have made t-shirts! We’re planning on making tote bags as well, I’m just on the hunt for the perfect ones…at least 12″ so it can hold LPs.

But yeah, Travis is a fantastic illustrator and writes hilarious comics (available at our store!) so we were ecstatic that he wanted to design something for us. We didn’t have any clue what we wanted, but this is perfect!

Man, so far Bamalama Fest has been a blast! Tonight I’m looking forward to Dan Sartain and the Jacuzzi Boys the most 🙂

New Couch and Bedroom Plans 24.05.

On Tuesday morning I’m performing a small part in a movie I was recently cast in and it’s being filmed at our house. I don’t know a whole lot about the project, but I think it will be fun! Andy and I spent the day cleaning and getting the house “camera ready” even though I think the entire scene will be in the kitchen. It’s still nice to have such a clean house!

So we finally found our perfect living room arrangement. Up until now I was never completely happy. Something always seemed to be missing. With this new couch and chair, we swapped the tv/wii/dvd/record player to a new wall with a much more stylish cabinet that fits perfectly in place. This new arrangement has actually given us more space in the room and a new seat! Now to hang all of the artwork we’ve been hoarding (Yuri’s painting of our house is the first order of business) and voila!

Storm Clouds and Cat Naps 22.05.

Oh, the joys of living in the South during the Summer/Fall changes. There was a week where the sirens went off at least every other day. Crazy! The sirens always make me so tense. The tornado of 1989 (an F4 and I was in the middle of it) is the main reason why…so so so so so incredibly scary. Especially for a four year old. So scary, in fact, that I peed my pants. (true story)

Those were taken on the 16th.

Oh boy, look at that sleepy face. hah! We got a new couch (YAY!) and I fell asleep during a lazy afternoon. Apparently the kitties approve the couch!

This is Maple’s favorite spot in the bathroom. As soon as she hears the water start, she runs in and meows until you move the pink chair to the side of the tub. Then, she’ll sit there and take a bath, curl up and lay down, or meow for kisses. She’ll help me “bathe” by licking my arm when I rinse…it’s super cute! Is it creepy that my cats (yes, Sadie will come over too) like to watch people in the tub? I think it’s a “WTF?!” for them…”Why are those crazies IN THE WATER?!”

I found these postcards at an antique store a couple years ago and never knew exactly what I wanted to do with them. I finally got tired of them just laying around, so I decided to simply hang them from a jute string for now. They are all pretty suggestive postcards about flappers…so I figured the bedroom is the perfect spot!

May 20th 2006 (re-visited) 21.05.

Our three year anniversary was yesterday, but I didn’t get a chance to make this post until just now. After three years I finally got around to processing our wedding photos*. I didn’t do a whole lot to them, but gave them the look I visioned.

So three years (and one day) ago I became a Mrs.
