Vertical Photographs 12.01.

Went to get a new lock for our front door. Whenever I see the doorknob I always think of the part in Alice in Wonderland where she has to shrink to go through the key hole. I’ve never had a key hole before. But, I do now.

Lewter’s had the lock we needed. And I grabbed “historic” paint samples. We also planned on going to Habitat Restore, Five Points Appliances (we still need to get our stove delivered), and Harrison Brother’s. However, we got very distracted and it eventually passed 5 o’clock.

Climbed over the tracks to find something neither of us knew was there…
___________________________

I wonder if they all mowed the grass the same way at the same time…once upon a time.
___________________________

Crooked front path, graffiti mail box, and a tree that looks like a host for some sort of weird creature.
___________________________

I couldn’t really get a great shot because the people across the street came outside as we were slowing down, but you can kinda see the white alligator on the roof in the second picture…

are those old mill houses?

i wonder how old the “fuck to po-lice” graffiti is?

yeah, they are right near dallas mills. it’s really odd. i think it would make a great filming spot.

haha seriously…and there was so much more all in and around the ditch that was across the street.

Did the house with the white aligator on the roof have a big red Christmas thing before?

Cool pics. I love the top three pics. I love tree with cloudy sky on back. I’ve been wanting to paint something like that.
I can’t believe all of them are neighborhood. I’ve never been there.
I have to see the weird creature tree.

i dunno…that was the first time i had ever seen that house.

yeah, i have quite a collection of tree pictures like that. i can’t help it though, cause i always love the way each comes out. maybe i’ll make a book of all of them one day.

i bet your painting would look so awesome…especially if you did some huge mural thing. hey – you could do it on the side of our store…cause we’ll have one whole blank wall available.

that tree is so bizzare. that whole street is, really. i had never been there either, but i know i’m definitely going back sometime.

As for the mural, I’ll be very happy to do that! Actually I’ve done 9? of them so far. All of them were done in 2002-3, so I am forgetting…
