weekend dilly dallies 02.10.

This is the cat I mentioned in my last post. I’ve dubbed him Tom Cat.

Saturday we performed Year of the Gun in Birmingham at Cave 9. We left Huntsville around 3 and arrived at Cave 9 in time to run through the show and brush up on everything. After the practice we went to Mellow Mushroom to eat (and drink) dinner. Back at Cave 9, the show went perfectly. There was a great crowd and everyone seemed really into it. There was a party afterwards, but I had to be up bright and early to show houses, so Andy and I had to pass. We didn’t even leave Birmingham ’til 1 am, so I couldn’t even imagine what time we would have left had we stayed.

I’m really mad that I didn’t get to go. After all the time I’ve been saying, “You guys need to come down here!”

It was the first time in months that I went out of town, and only the second time I’ve been to the beach in flordia in my entire life! (Until last year, I had never even been to Florida before!)

So now I’m sunburned, relaxed, and wondering if I’m ever going to get a chance to see Year of the Gun!

Hey! I was in B’ham this weekend at the Sidewalk Film Festival, and we ate at the Mellow Shroom Sunday afternoon!

Hey, crazy idear, but have you ever thought of submitting “Year of the Gun” to film festivals? Might be too hip for Gooberfest (The George Lindsey Film Festival at UNA), but Sidewalk, Tupelo, or Atlanta might snap it right up! They were crazy about “The American Astronaut.”

Couldn’t hur to give it a whirl!

yuriozaki 03.10.: So The Sidewalk was last weekend… I missed it again. I’ve been there 2002. Since then, I keep missing it for some reason. Like, I had to work this weekend.
