Sick Days and Foggy Tops 16.05.

Today Andy called in sick…hehe. We finally got a chance to go see Hurricane on the Bayou in IMAX. It was a 40 minute documentary about the gulf wetlands being destroyed, and how Hurricane Katrina affected them. We snuck a few pictures, and they actually turned out pretty neat. Soon there’s going to be an IMAX National Geographic movie called The Mysteries of Egypt. I can’t wait for that.

While driving home after the movie, there was a nice fog patch hovering over Monte Sano so we decided to go play in the clouds.

Wow.. I got my first camera at 25 or 26? But I only used the camera (yashica, 35mm film, manual) to take slide pics of my art work. I got my first digital camera a few years ago, but it was so huge and inconvenient to carry around, so I didn’t use it much. I got my camera a year ago as a present from mom. It’s not too great, but I love it.

I am a late starter. I started painting seriously when I was 24.

shoot…i can barely paint a straight line.

my dad is really really good with manual cameras, since that’s what he grew up on. digital isn’t too much different, so i’m sure he’ll pick it up in a flash (yuk yuk)
