After spending all day with our brain child yesterday, sleeping in ’til noon today was much needed. However, I did have html dreams all last night. Andy got our site featured on newstoday. I have to market it to the wide world of livejournal sometime soon. Thanks to oink.me for allowing us to get the programs we needed to get this far (Dreamweaver, Transmit, Cleaner, Flash, and of course the much needed music.)

omg speaking of music.
Q: What album makes my mouth drop every time I hear it?
A: The new Snake album…whatever they end up calling it.
Seriously though, I wish we could host that on our site’s radio.

Christian dropped off their new recording(s) to us last night during a much needed html break. I seriously hope they give us the go ahead and just let us put the whole thing out. All the songs are great…and a 6 song ep is better than a 4 song epee.

Camera 1 came in from ebay, now I need Camera 2 so we can add proper band photos to the pages. And update the visual pages. I’ve got plenty of (really good) film in the freezer that Richard gave me since he only shoots digital now. I can’t wait until our lab is ready. Three enlargers. It’s the perfect place…size…layout. I can’t wait to mooooooooooove.

Andy’s got his hands full these next few weeks. Two (freelance) photography websites on top of making websites at work 5 days a week. $$$.

We’ve gotta start pricing things soon. Electrical wire, insulation, wood, drywall, concrete counter tops, central heating/air, along with whatever else we might possibly run into during reno. We’ll be taking care of most of the labor. One of my clients and I have been talking about everything, and he’s been very encouraging and re-assuring that the work isn’t really hard, just time consuming. I’ve got the time, patience, and I’m learning to know-how. However, any and all help from friends will be appreciated and worthwhile for whoever wants to join in.

I need to find some storage bins. I posted it on craigslist (haha) but I guess no one has any or isn’t willing to give ’em up. I’ll start scouring yard sales soon. I was watching some on ebay, but I forgot when they ended, and missed out. oops.

Well, the sunshine is out, and so should I.

our site is finally at a “finishing point”

there’s a to-do list on the representative journal. Feel free to add us…cause we’ll be updating as things get crossed off the list.

We finally got the news we were waiting for. Andy’s parents agreed to go ahead and let us go through with our renovation/life project. yaaaaaay! Our business cards are being sent off tomorrow to be printed. Two-in-one, double sided. Next goal – to have a new address by Christmas. fhew.

Speaking of houses. I posted one of the rentals that are ready to go on craigslist. Most likely it will be cross-posted to the hsv communities next. I’ll spam our site once a few more things are done.

I’ve adopted the fun project of completely tracking our finances. Every purchase over $10, and all incoming flow will be written down. I feel like I’m back in the Math class that gave me my first sample checkbook. Good thing I loved that class.

Franklin rode around with us the other night and we got a preview of the new album (thank god, cause it doesn’t look like it will be released until December-ish.) But boy-o-boy…it’ll be a damn good release. And he said the sentence we were hoping to hear: “I’ll burn you a copy.”

tagged – i’m it 30.06.

I’ve been tagged by alphagocode to list 7 songs I’m listening to at the moment:

“15 Step” :: Radiohead
actually, I’ve been listening to all their new stuff – of course – but that would make for a boring list.

“I’ll Be on the Water” :: Akron/Family
one of my favorite songs that’s on one of the wedding mix cds.

“And it Rained All Night” :: Thom Yorke
hey, it’s not “technically” Radiohead 🙂

“Jack McGee” :: The Snake The Cross The Crown
brand new song. Franklin sent it to us…they just finished up recording their new album. yesssssss.

“Little Bird” :: Eric Bachmann
guy from Crooked Fingers, so of course, it’s good.

“Tram #7 to Heaven” :: Jens Lekman
cause tram #2 is coo-chee-coo

“Let’s Get Out of This Country” :: Camera Obscura
yaay for new albums

I tag anyone who wants to do this fun activity 🙂

Hell yes – 10 more minutes ’til Andy’s five day weekend
