My friend Arielle Bergman is a fashion designer and has her own clothing line, Elleira Couture. Last Saturday she had us model some of her Spring line. She’ll be having a fashion show on March 21st at The Flying Monkey.

I took these photos from her myspace…and actually had to edit them some. I’ve seen that myshitholespace tends to add a ton of contrast to photos. So, I desaturated and fixed the color balance. We took a TON more…and some really funny ones too…hopefully I can get a-hold of those soon.

Andy and I were reading through the Best Of the Valley Poll and although we didn’t win Best Music Shop (didn’t really plan on it, mind you) we were still listed in that category and also Best Place to See a Live Performance. Woo!
Also, listed under Best Female Singer was “Ashley Brody”…I was a bit surprised by that one. First, I have only sang in front of people a few times (Crash Boom Bang’s ‘A Few Good Minutes’ and with The Lightbulbs a couple of times). Second, whoever wrote me down used my maiden name haha.
Justin, I did see Scripted Failures under a few categories. And Steph, Daniel made it into several categories as well. The Flying Monkey made it into several exciting categories, so that’s always great.
My only ‘beef’ with that poll is that I don’t think corporate chains should count. I think it should be geared towards local business. Also, I think the Plant could use an editor. There are many mis-spelled words and even repeated names in several categories. But, from what I understand The Planet has writers but also allows locals to submit articles. I don’t know a whole lot though because I really only read the ‘Best of’ Issues.

This was my view for most of the day. I started to feel ill at the end of last week, but today I felt pretty lethargic and didn’t get out of bed until mid-afternoon.
Maple helped with laundry today. Speaking of, I’ve never been so excited to wash and dry clothes. No more having to go to the garage or haul clothes across town…it’s so nice.
Today is our 20th month anniversary (lol) so I was lured out of the house by the idea of a nice steak dinner to celebrate. It was lovely, but it didn’t take long for the ‘want’ to just sit around the house and watch Ugly Betty to kick back in. Unfortunately, we missed out on the Winter Sounds and Christian James and the Coyotes show tonight. I was really looking forward to it, and we were going to open up the store, but I just didn’t have the energy. I hope it is going well!

Andy made us brownies tonight…mmmm

I took a video of Maple and one of my favorite things she does. She’ll pick things throughout the house and ‘make her mark’ on them. So cute.
