Noodlehead 02.06.

We hung Robert Daniel’s “Coffee Break” illustrations of me and Andy in our room. I think they look awesome. And they just so happen to reside over the present day sides of the bed we are each sleeping on. And because I’m still a two year old at heart when it comes to stuffed animals, I have an oversize Peep that I love! Andy got it for me during Easter time when we got all the mini stuffed peeps that are awaiting the now dried catnip…so they can become kitty toys!

Every time the water gets turned on, Maple will meow at you to leave it on so she can play. This morning she spent the entire 45 minutes I was getting ready splashing splash in the water. By the time she’s through, half of her face is soaking wet.

More seedlings! These will all hopefully contain a variety of wildflowers. I thought it would look neat to have random containers full of flowers…so I can leave them as-is or cut to add to vases.

whew. I just got finished moving over 18,000+ photos from my computer hard drive to the external one. I was down to about 60 GB lol. Now the hard drive is down to 55.57 GB. Eventually, I’d like to get another one that would JUST hold photos. And also Leopard so I can take advantage of Time Machine…

Yard Stuffs 01.06.

Today Andy and I tackled the garage. The Five Points Neighborhood Yard Sale is this weekend, so we pretty much had to do it today. It’s going to feel so nice to be rid of the collection of the stuff we’ve accumulated that we don’t really need. The cats enjoyed getting to play outside all day…until the rain (and hail?!?!) storm came through.

Here they come! These run along one side of our garage and can be seen out of the bath and bedroom window. There’s actually more this year then last…I love plants that re-seed themselves!

The Week End 01.06.

Friday night Andy, Megan and I went to the Tavern (VooDoo Lounge) to the show. It was awesome. The Counterclock Wise and Thomas Function are always worth it.

Megan and her dawg Charley. How awesome.

Saturday Andy and I met William at Pepito’s, then went to his house for a beer until he had to write a paper…boo. It’s always fun going to his house since our wedding was there…there’s always good memories made when we’re there.

My bridal portraits were taken in that first photo and my hair and makeup were done on the porch. The door in the last photo led to the room where I slipped into my wedding dress.

Lowe Mill 01.06.

Lowe Mill always tends to have areas that beg to be photographed. It’s interesting seeing some photos I have and nothing is the same…this building changes every so often during various renovations.

The rain cloud was sweeping over the mountains while I was walking around. Also, I’m in love with that vine growing in the first photo.

This heavy, blue glass bottle was found underneath the mill. It reads “Gay-Ola” at the top and “Huntsville” along the bottom. I’d love to have it, but I’m going to check with Grace (the manager of the mill) first.

Other debris (and the bottle) from under the mill.

In the first photo you can (kinda) see the resident groundhog that I’ve dubbed Cotton Boots. I wish it was a better photo, but he was scared, and I had to just hold the camera (to where I was still out of his sight) and hope he’d be in the frame.

Whoa UFO! 01.06.

Apparently, the night after our play about the UFO sightings in Stephenville, there was a sighting in Decatur (about 30 minutes away from Huntsville).

I wonder if we conjured them to come down and say hello!

Here's the story!

ugh 30.05.

This morning, when I went to feed the kitties, I noticed they had barely eaten out of one of the bowls and the other wet food bowl was empty as well as their dry food dish. Upon closer inspection, I saw *chills* maggots squirming ALL in the dish that they didn’t touch. Smart kitties, that’s for sure. When we leave the back door open so they can play outside, we get several flies inside. I think they lay eggs in the food cause I read eggs can hatch in as little as 8 hours…or even nastier, some flies lay larvae that skip the egg stage. Either way, it’s sickening and this is the second time it’s happened.

Remedy one: get a screen door put on the back door. That should be easy enough.
Remedy two: Although this will take some time to get used to, I want to switch them to the BARF diet. Which is basically raw meat and other important nutrients that are important to kitties. I would start this immediately, but our freezer barely has room for a small frozen pizza (it’s one of the old models that ices over SUPER fast and quickly). So we are probably going to have to invest in a stand alone freezer sometime. Where it will go, no idea. But I know we’ll need one eventually when we start harvesting food from our garden. We are going to have so many leftovers, and I don’t want them to go to waste.

Tonight will be fun…there’s a show at the Tavern and Thomas Function and The Counterclock Wise are playing. Two of my favorites. Plus, shows at the Tavern (Voo Doo Lounge…whatever it’s called nowadays) are always exciting. It’s within walking distance from our house, so that’s definitely a plus. The (tipsy/drunk) walk home is great and there are several houses with kitties that like to play when we walk by. One night I wouldn’t be surprised if someone called the cops on us. It must look silly when we are sitting in the middle of the sidewalk playing with someone’s cat. haha. oh well…

Also tonight (when we get home from the store and before we head up to the show) we’re going to watch the LOST season finale. omg I’m so stoked. I can’t wait to see what happens, but if Penny or Des dies, I’ll be so sad! I wish we had time to watch it BEFORE we go to the store, but it’s 2 hours, and there’s always a guy that comes every Friday right at 5pm. So, no such luck. Ah well, I like suspense!

Man, TGIF…I love the weekends.
