Life! 09.08.
Thursday night I hosted my dear friend Stephanie’s bachelorette party. It was nice to have a room full of girls dishing out tips and stories and good times! I hope Stephanie and Daniel had a wonderful time at their wedding yesterday and I wish them a happy honeymoon!!
Of course we cleaned the house to get ready for the party…and I took photos, what’s new?
After moving a small couch upstairs, our fireplace is now open in the dining room. We shifted the table over so it’s center in the room…it’s amazing how much bigger the room feels now!
We rearranged the bedroom some. Really, there’s only two places the bed can go. This way works out best during the summer because we can feel the fan much better. I’ll post the rest of the room, and if you see any better ideas for arrangements, I’m all ears!!
The door on the same wall as the bed goes to the front foyer. The door to the right of the fireplace leads to the dining room.
Shifting over some, you can see the door that leads to the bathroom (to the right of the dresser).
I’m so sick of that closet opening…so I tried disguising it with a bedside table. The open door leads to the front foyer/living room.

aaaaaaaaand since I’m behind a cut at this point, I figure I’ll throw in this photo of the bedroom’s morning light that creates an area of interesting shadows on the fireplace bricks.
We rearranged the mantles a bit in both rooms…this one is in the bedroom.
There is a small patch of these Naked Lilies that pop up in our backyard every year. This year I had my naked lady vase ready! That vase came from our first house…we found it in a cabinet. It was made in 1958 🙂
Here’s the living room mantle. I found a box of polariods and a series of ‘before’ shots we took. I thought it might be neat to put images of the living room on the mantle to have a visual contrast of before and after.
Here’s a close up of them. mmmm with all of that nasty carpet, no walls, and dust filled glory!
I finally get to have my own hydrangea clippings! My blue mason jar has been waiting for this moment!
While I was bustling about taking photos, Andy made us a pizza! With veggies from our yard and a fresh eggplant a lady at Earth Touch gave us…it was delicious!!
