Purgatory Lounge on July 11th 18.07.
On Friday, July 11th, souls gathered in Purgatory to sing their way out. Here are visuals:
The band starts the evening with sultry tunes
I was the first singer this time. Nerve wracking, but awesome to get it over with! My character sang an original song that “she” wrote about being a performer for the crowds (think Judy Garland, how she was pumped full of drugs and had to perform on command…but holy wow, did she ever!) And one night she (my character, not Judy) was poisoned for trying to speak out.
Corry (the flash in the photo) was a paparazzi that followed her in to Purgatory to continue to terrorize (ie a way for me to flee the stage).
Speaking of Corry, he took this awesome series from his point of view!
The Stunning Stephanie sang a song (alliteration, whaaaa?) entitled “Daniel” (how fitting, she’s engaged to a Daniel!) Oh, she was lovely! I can’t wait to hear the recording of it. And what up, legs?!
Caitlin sang “Miss the Girl” by The Creatures. Man, her shirt and face were awesome! Her death was from getting run over. She put paint on her tire, and then ran over her white shirt. Then, spray painted a tire and placed her cheek on it. It looked so good!
Sam, Sam…omg Samantha. How I love you. She sang “Make Believe” by Elvis Presley (amazingly) and her death was from autoerotic asphyxiation. She had back up dancers that helped her reenact the death while her hand was down her pants. Holy cow her performance was amazing. It was certainly a different, but entertaining, act to watch haha.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get the rest of the show, but it was great! There was stand up comedy, original songs, and lots of fun!
