Dead Workers Party “Screaming Jenny” video shoot 01.12.

For the past few days I have spent doing what I love to do. Between Crash Boom Bang’s Skits & Giggles show to the Dead Workers Party’s “Screaming Jenny” shoot I have been in HD makeup, had several costume changes, screamed my lungs out, “fallen” from a window on “fire”, acted among friends, rode my adrenaline rushes, and all the while, had the most fun ever.

There are still a lot of shots left for the “Screaming Jenny” music video, but The Dead Workers went ahead and shot my scenes where I catch on fire and eventually plunge out of a window. Of course the mill offered all of the places we needed to shoot: the boiler room for the bellows and where I catch on fire, and the third floor full of windows for me to jump from, and the DWP’s beautiful (and huge) green screen in which they can add the fire and SFX later. It’s so wonderful to work with that crew…I always have such a blast. It’s the perfect balance of professionalism (in which things get done and shot well) to being able to crack jokes and keep the atmosphere light. I can’t wait to shoot again (next location, The Depot downtown) although it will be a month or so before we do. And of course I can’t wait to see the final video.

Along with Joe, Andy took quite a lot of photos during the shoot.

Day One: Boiler Room bellows, spark landing, running, fire

Day Two: Running (to window) on third floor, Green Screen falling from window, Green Screen catching on fire, Final Death and ghost rising

You can see the entire set here

J.D. sent everyone an email last night with a snipit of one of the final shots. This one was really fun to do! They will be adding the fire and other special effects in post production.
