I found a collection of these postcards about flappers and I couldn’t pass them up. There are about 20 different ones.

And the best find of the day was my new kitchen. Andy and I had been gathering quotes over the past month or so to try to find the perfect cabinets. I want(ed) them to look as if each was it’s own piece of furniture. There’s really only a 5X9 linear space that needed bottom cabinets…there’s windows all around, so no upper cabinets. However, the price quotes I was getting was up around $3,000. Fuck that. So, I decided I wanted to find antique pieces and fit them together to make a kitchen space. And so began the search. And so ended the search at Packard’s Antiques where I found the perfect set. Not to mention the perfect price – all three for $1200.

…Now to just get the insulation in, the walls up, and the floors finished. Thanksgiving is still my goal. And oh how great it will be to (hopefully) prepare the meal in a new kitchen.
