Last weekend Stephanie and I met Jane and John<\/a> up on Monte Sano Mountain, at Burritt Museum<\/a>. My first time up there was a couple of weeks earler when we shot their wedding<\/a>, but since it was raining, we didn’t get to explore the place for any bridal portraits or anything…so we agreed to meet again. Which was last weekend. And holy crap that is my heaven on earth! Seriously, I was so in love with each of the houses and barns up there. Each house once belonged to a settler of the Tennessee Valley…they were spread across all of Madison County. Eventually, the city needed a place to put all of these old (1800s) houses, and Burritt Museum was formed. <\/p>\n

The simplicity of these houses, a bedroom, a kitchen, and a breezeway between, kept me daydreaming of simple times. Well, I know they weren’t really simple times, but I fell in love with the minimalistic decor and the raw beauty of each of the houses. OK…I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.<\/p>\n
